From classic authors to recent award-winners, this course provides an exciting introduction to the fantastic, futuristic side of English literature. Students will study one or more genres of speculative literature, including science fiction, fantasy, and horror. They will trace the history of this popular form of storytelling and learn about the writers, works, and literary movements that continue to influence it today. (OT 36)
