Catalog description
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed for healthcare providers that participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. Pre-course preparation, didactic instruction and active participation in skill station and simulated cases will enhance the recognition of and intervention for respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest. This course leads to certification through the American Heart Association. This course may be repeated up to ten (10) times for credit, but can satisfy only one (1) credit for academic program requirement. (A special fee will be assessed.)
