Catalog description
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support course is designed for healthcare providers that participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. Through didactic instruction and active participation in simulated cases, students will enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). This course leads to certification through the American Heart Association. This course may be repeated up to ten (10) times for credit, but can satisfy only one (1) credit for academic program requirement. (A special fee will be assessed.)
