Crosslisted With: ART 347 This study abroad course in Berlin offers students a unique opportunity to study art and history while immersed in the cultural landscape of Berlin. The course will ask students to examine Berlin’s complex history and how this history has created an environment conducive to the creation of contemporary art. Students will cultivate an understanding of the landscape of the city, how it was used by the Nazi regime, how it was divided in half during the Cold War, and how new artists spaces, memorials, and architectural projects are developed with the use of former historic sites. Prerequisite(s): Completion of FHCI and FAES Pillars Corequisite(s): None *Fulfills Civitae Core PHCI SI
