Catalog description

This course covers topics in cultural geography, including language, religion, mobility, political organization, economies, and urbanization. This course reveals how culture shapes and is shaped by our environments. It offers students the methods and methodologies needed for understanding places and place-making through a cultural lens. Students in this course will critically analyze how culture influences our interactions at various scales- from the body, to landscapes, and the globe. They will learn how people experience and interpret the places they create, inhabit, and protect. Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None
