Catalog description

This course is an introduction to programming and scripting for ArcGIS. The fundamental concepts of scripting and object-oriented programming will be reviewed using the Python programming language. Students will learn how to write scripts and programs to customize and automate ArcGIS geoprocessing tasks and perform geographic analyses. Students will also learn how to debug and address errors in scripts and programs. 1 lab credit hour. Prerequisite(s): GEOG 275 Corequisite(s): CMSC 140
