Catalog description

This Teaching Internship experience is required for all Elementary Education and Teaching majors seeking initial licensure to teach elementary school (grades PK-6). Teaching Interns will spend 13 weeks in an elementary school setting, assuming the responsibilities of a classroom teacher. Under the direction of a Mentor Teacher and University Supervisor, Teaching Interns will design and teach engaging lessons, assess student learning, and reflect on their continued professional growth. Course fee: $300. Prerequisite(s): ELEM 420 , ELEM 440 , and ELEM 460 , all with a C+ or higher, and admission to Teacher Candidacy Corequisite(s): ELEM 400
