Catalog description
This Teaching Internship experience is required for all Elementary and Middle School Education and Teaching majors. Teacher Interns will spend 13 weeks across elementary (PK-6) and middle level (6-8) school settings, assuming the responsibilities of a classroom teacher. Under the direction of a Mentor Teacher and University Supervisor, the Teacher Intern will design and teach engaging lessons, assess student learning, and reflect on their continued professional growth. Course fee: $300. Prerequisite(s): ELEM 420 , ELEM 440 , and ELEM 460 , all with a grade of C+ or higher, and admission to Teacher Candidacy Corequisite(s): ELEM 400
