Career & Technical Education Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare new Career and Technical Educators to create and implement effective curriculum, instruction and assessment in career and technical classes at the middle & high school level. Participants will use the Virginia Department of Education approved competencies and curriculum framework to develop curriculum and lesson plans, design instructional sequences, and assess student achievement. Emphasis will be placed on differentiated instruction and authentic performance-based assessments. Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None
