Catalog description

This is the first course in a two-course sequence in which students will plan and implement an authentic data science project. Students will develop skills critical to successful consultation in relation to the initial stages of project management and planning. The focus is on managing data science projects, optimizing client interactions, and refining the ability to deliver quantitative insights with data-driven decision-making. The course emphasizes working with clients to elaborate their research questions and the availability of data to provide insights into the questions the clients desire to have answered. Prerequisite(s): DATA 282 with grade of C- or higher and Senior status Restricted to Data Science Majors Corequisite(s): None
