Catalog description

This course examines the making and erasing of public memory in New Orleans through the lens of aesthetic expression. Through an immersion learning experience in New Orleans and associated work both pre- and post-travel, students will develop skills for active citizenship, including inquiry from multiple viewpoints, critical evaluation of information, and writing for a general audience. The course will be divided into three components: Pre-Travel, Fieldwork, and Post-Travel. Prerequisite(s): Completion of FAES pillar Corequisite(s): None *Fulfills Civitae Core PAES WI
