The Future of the Past

Catalog description

This course examines the making and erasing of public memory in New Orleans through a historical and contemporary cultural lens. Through an immersion learning experience in New Orleans and associated work both pre- and post-travel, students will develop skills for active citizenship, including inquiry from multiple viewpoints, critical evaluation of information, and writing for a general audience.
