Crosslisted With: ( EASC 343 ) Historical geology studies the evolution of the earth and life. In this course, we will unveil the story that earth has to tell of its history by learning how to interpret the rock and fossil record. Major emphasis will be placed on principles of stratigraphy, biostratigraphy, geologic history of North America, evolution, and extinction. 3 lecture hours, and 2 lab hours. Course fee: $30. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 251 and either BIOL 288 or EASC 211 Corequisite(s): None
