This course introduces students to accounting information systems (AIS) and their role in supporting financial and managerial decision-making. The course covers AIS integration with accounting principles and IT, emphasizing system documentation, database management, data analytics, and internal controls. Students explore fraud prevention, risk management, and emerging technologies like blockchain, AI, and cloud computing. Through hands-on projects and case studies, they develop technical, analytical, and communication skills essential for designing, evaluating, and using AIS effectively in modern organizations.
