In this course, doctoral students will examine psychological and structural factors influencing organizational, agency and community conflict. Through the use of role plays, video lessons, conflict resolution theories and negotiation skills, doctoral students will explore analytical and practice tools necessary to navigate mutually beneficial solutions and agreements to identify, reduce and resolve conflicts. In this course, students will apply social work practice skills at the micro, mezzo and macro levels to promote a timely responsiveness to unique and emerging conflicts impacting social, economic and environmental dimensions in local, regional, and global professional settings.
