Catalog description

eSports has transformed gaming into a global sport, generating more than $1 billion in revenue and 300 million viewers. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of eSports along with other emerging/alternative parts of the sports business ecosystem such as 'sports betting', 'fantasy sports', and more. Students identify best practices through case studies of these booming industries and their associated stakeholders, including leagues, owners, advertisers, and publishers. Pre-requisites: SPM 201
