Voice Disorders

Catalog description

This course is designed to provide the student with a theoretical and practical introduction to normal voice production and the nature, diagnosis, and treatment of voice disorders. Information related to structural, functional, and neurological bases of Page 223 Catalog 2025 - 2026 voice disorders will also be provided. Classes will be primarily lecture-based, supplemented by videotapes, illustrations, handouts, in-class activities, discussions, etc. The pre-requisites of SLP 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609, 620 and a passing score on Foundations Exam are required or permission of Department Chair and Program Director.
