Catalog description

A practicum in which students perform diagnostic evaluations on individuals with speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders while obtaining required clinical hours throughout the semester. Students also participate in a weekly seminar that focuses on the diagnostic process, formal and informal assessment procedures, and decision- making relevant to the diagnostic process in context of evidence based clinical practice. Prerequisite: Permission of the department. The pre-requisites of SLP 601, 602, 603, 605, 606, 608, 620, and 640 are required. Department Chair and Clinic Director permission required.
