Advanced study of language development in typically developing children, focusing on syntactic, semantic and pragmatic abilities of children in relationship to their developing sensorimotor, perceptual, social-emotional and cognitive systems. Normal variations in language acquisition and development are viewed from a cross-cultural perspective.
