Clinical Experience II

Catalog description
This course focuses on patient assessment and the evaluation of data in the patient record, gathering clinical information to recommend diagnostic procedures, and prepares the student to continue their practice in the clinical setting. Students receive a supervised experience in a metropolitan respiratory care department, where they have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in actual patient-care setting. This course is open only to matriculated Respiratory Care students or those with permission of the Program Director. A letter grade of "C+" or better is required for graduation. The pre-requisites of RC 216 and 217 are required or the student must be an active member of the Respiratory Care Professional Student Group.
