Catalog description
A study of the anatomy and physiology of the cardiopulmonary system, specifically, the physiology of the lung, the function and enervation of cardiac muscle, cardiac circulation, cardiac pump, bio- mechanics of breathing, oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange and control of ventilation. This course is open only to matriculated Respiratory Care students or those with permission of the Program Director. A letter grade of "C+" or better is required for graduation. The pre-requisites of BIO 127, 237, 238; CHM 101 or CHM 103 or CHM 102 or CHM 104; MTH 105 or 106 or 130 or 140; PHY 120 or PHY 127 or PHY 131; are required.
