Catalog description

A study of contemporary theory and research in psychopathology with a special emphasis on developmental etiological factors, biosocial contributions, symptom formation and the rationale for different interventions. Psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theories are emphasized as is the interaction of psychopathology with cultural factors. Discussion of the literature related to the DSM is also considered. Prerequisite: Psychology 655 Must be a student in the Doctoral Psychology program
