Advanced Clinical Interviewing IV

Catalog description

An intensive case seminar taken in conjunction with a two-day per week practicum placement. The Academic Year 2025 - 2026 Catalog 2025 - 2026 Page 270 seminar uses the practicum experiences to focus on issues in clinical interviewing, therapeutic alliance building, treatment planning and psychotherapy as well as empirically supported therapies. Topical readings related to each of these areas are assigned regularly for discussion as well as cultural and ethnic factors affecting the clinical process. Issues related to the identification and reporting of child abuse and maltreatment are also addressed. Pass/Fail only. Must be a student in the Doctoral Psychology program
