Cross-Cultural Issues in Psychology

Catalog description

An examination of key issues and concepts in cross- cultural psychology as a growing area within psychology. A major goal of the course is to have students gain an appreciation of the impact of cultural factors on attitudes and behavior of those who are recipient of services as well as the service provider. Emphasis is placed on clinical and community psychology constructs and applications. African-American and Latino groups get special attention. Must be a student in the Doctoral Psychology program
