Research Design & Analysis II

Catalog description

This course builds from Research Design and Analysis I. This discussion and lab course is a study of research design, statistical concepts and techniques employed by the psychologist, including measures of central tendency, variability, relative position and association; concepts of probability and sampling; and techniques of estimation and hypothesis-testing. Students learn about the various research designs and statistical techniques that psychologists use to address research questions. The lab component provides hands-on experience with conducting data analyses. This course replaces PSY 250 which is only open for non-majors in psychology. This course requires a C or better in Psy 201, MTH 105/106. Pre-requisites of MTH 105 or 106 and PSY 201 (with C or better) are required.
