Catalog description

This course is the third of three courses that focuses on clinical decision-making skills in family-oriented practice. Knowledge of advanced physical assessment, pathophsiology, and pharmacology are the underpinnings for the course content. Critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning are reinforced as the basis of practice. The use of evidence-based practice protocols and guidelines is an integral part of this course. Common acute and chronic conditions of adolescents, adults and older adults in the collaborative practice primary care setting are emphasized. Prerequisites: NUR Prerequisites: NUR 610, 612, 614, 620, 630, 634, 644, 670, 690, 691, 692 & 693 Corequisite: NUR 695
