This course gives a comprehensive overview of the Great American Songbook. Emphasis is placed upon significant historical performers, the primary composers, and a study of their compositions. Frequent class performance is at the core of the course. Prerequisites: MUS 208A, MUS 207B, MUS 214. Pre-requisites: MUS 208B and MUS 214
