Catalog description
This audition-based ensemble course focuses on performing jazz and improvised music through both solo and group singing. Students study the history of jazz vocals and develop music from various periods of jazz, including Swing, Be-Bop, and the Avant-Garde. Throughout the semester, students learn to improvise with confidence.
