Catalog description

This course considers the pathophysiology of disease states at a cellular, structural and systemic level, including cellular dynamics, modalities of death, the cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, hematologic, renal, neurological, endocrine, and reproductive systems. The genetic and molecular mechanisms of health and disease are also included with regard to its application in clinical practice. Prerequisites: Admission to the graduate program in Physician Assistant Studies. In order to register for this course, the student must be a graduate student in the Physician Assistant plan.
