Catalog description

This course is designed to focus on areas of social and behavioral sciences and their application to clinical patients. Topics include but are not limited to cultural competency, ethnicity/race, gender identity, religion/spirituality, medical ethics, substance abuse, human sexuality, social determinants of health, palliative, and end-of-life care. Prerequisites: Admission to the graduate program in Physician Assistant Studies. In order to register for this course, the student must be a graduate student in the Physician Assistant plan.
