Catalog description

The Internship in Global Issues provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of global issues in a professional setting relevant to the topic of their International Research and Internship Semester (IRIS). Through the process of securing the position and working under the guidance of a professional supervisor, students learn to identify, to apply for and to work effectively in a professional setting. Through completing a set of structured assignments, students also analyze the effectiveness of their host organization, reflect on their own capabilities, and investigate the relationship of the internship to their senior thesis topic. In order to register for this course, the student must be an active member of the Global College Student Group.
