Catalog description
The course addresses the basic principles governing the physical realization of computing systems and their relationship to characteristics such as performance, energy, and robustness. Computing concepts and implementation technologies are explored at different levels of abstraction. The concepts of quantum computing and biological computing are introduced and illustrated. Three credits; two-hour lecture and two-hour laboratory. Prerequisites: ENGR 240, ENGR 251, and AI 162
