Catalog description
The course is designed to introduce fundamental principles of circuit theory commonly used in engineering research and science applications. Techniques and principles of electrical circuit analysis including basic concepts such as voltage, current, resistance, impedance, Ohm's and Kirchoff's law; basic electric circuit analysis techniques, resistive circuits, transient and steady- state responses of RLC circuits; circuits with DC Academic Year 2025 - 2026 Catalog 2025 - 2026 Page 92 and sinusoidal sources, steady-state power and three-phase balanced systems, including Laplace and Fourier transforms applications for solving circuit problems. Three credits; three-hour lecture and one-hour laboratory. Prerequisites: ENGR 115, ENGR 121
