Catalog description
The course provides a comprehensive study of computer architecture and organization. Boolean algebra is introduced to teach digital devices. The operational units and their interconnections that realize the architectural specification of a computer are studied and their overall performance is analyzed. The design and implementation of a simple processor is an integral part of the course. Programming at different levels is also introduced. Pre-requisite of CS 202 is required.
