An introduction to the biology of Bacteria and Archaea with consideration of the principles and practices of bacteriological techniques. Bacterial pathogenesis and the immune response are also studied. Three hours of lecture per week. Pre- requisites BIO 122 or BIO 124; Co-requisite BIO 209L. 4 credits Page 83 Catalog 2025 - 2026 Pre-requisite: BIO 122 or BIO 124 and CHM 104. Co-requisite: BIO 209L.
