Catalog description

The course is designed to impart the concepts and the practical aspects of database management systems and to provide an understanding of how data resources can be designed and amanged to support information systems in organizations. Topics covered include: database system functions, Entity-Relationship (E-R) modeling, and relational database model, basic normalization techniques, data integrity, and SQL query language. Three credits; one-hour laboratory.
