Catalog description

Introduction to palpation and psychomotor is a laboratory course designed to familiarize the student to the basics of palpation and motor skills necessary to perform a chiropractic adjustment. The location and identification of bony structures of the spine, pelvis, and extremities will be emphasized. In addition, palpation of the superficial musculature will be introduced. The force sensing tables will be used to assist students in developing the psychomotor skills necessary for appropriate stance, palpation, speed, and coordination necessary to deliver a Chiropractic Adjustment.
