Catalog description

This course examines the historical and current theoretical perspectives and approaches in abnormal psychology. Students will learn about the different types of psychological disorders, with an emphasis on etiology, terminology, and treatment of the major disorders. Students will also examine the diagnostic classification system, including current social and cultural influences and controversies in utilizing this system.
