This course explores a variety of ethical issues that arise when working in healthcare. Additionally, this course introduces legislation affecting healthcare, along with a review of issues such as professional liability, informed consent, privacy and security laws, electronic health records, patients’ rights and workplace legalities. The cost of health care, who pays for it, and types of health insurance are also discussed.
