This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the study of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. Students will explore the fundamental principles of microbiology focusing on microbial classification, structure, physiology, metabolism, genetics, and parameters affecting microbial growth. The course also covers principles of immunological responses to pathogens, and the roles microorganisms play in human health, disease, and the environment.
