Catalog description

This course introduces the principles and applications of biostatistics for students in biological and health sciences. The course begins with fundamental concepts of variability, distributions, and statistical inference, then develops key analytical methods used in research, including confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, t-procedures, ANOVA, chi-square analysis, correlation, and regression. Realistic examples from biological, medical, and public-health studies are used to develop students’ ability to critically evaluate data and interpret scientific evidence.
