Catalog description

This course examines the process for reviewing, monitoring, improving and evaluating health care services. Health services accreditation standards will be explored. The role of information technology in providing data for the documentation and evaluation of client outcomes will be emphasized. This course will also examine the historical development, current concepts, techniques, and future trends related to the monitoring and evaluation of the quality of health care services. Cases will be used to present current issues surrounding attempts to integrate quality management and increased accountability in health care organization.v
