Catalog description
This course examines evidence informed principles and practices of assessment and evaluation in the health professions classroom. Students engage with activities designed to enhance their understanding and practical application of: 1) variety of assessment methods including formative and summative assessments, 2) measurement of student learning, 3) development and utilization of valid, reliable, and fair assessment tools, 4) alignment of assessments with learning objectives and course goals, and 5) evaluation of assessment data to inform instructional decisions and improve education outcomes.
