Catalog description

This course is detailed study of the anatomy and functions of the musculoskeletal system of the human body and includes both lab and lecture. The approach will be regional in nature, with units pertaining to the back, posterior neck, upper and lower extremities, thorax and abdominal wall. Basic anatomic terminology, osteology, arthrology, angiology, neurology will be emphasized, along with basic biomechanical and kinesiologic principles. Clinical context and applications of anatomical knowledge will be presented. A discussion of clinically relevant embryological development of the neuromusculoskeletal system will also be featured.
