Social Work Practice II

Catalog description

This course examines the basic theory, knowledge, and skills required to develop mezzo- (group, family) level generalist social work practice. Skill building for effective interventions with families and groups of varying racial, ethnic and other cultural groups in society, identifying values, and lifestyles that require divergent social work approaches and responses, and enhancement of professional identity as a facilitator of change for helping more than one client at a time will be addressed. Course will include a lab component. Corequisite: SW 41000 .
