Recreational Pursuit Resources

Catalog description

This course will expose students to a wide variety of recreational outdoor activities, the public and private entities that administer them and the changes that increasing demand will necessitate in the future. Group dynamics, Leave No Trace, Permits, and Leadership training will be covered in lecture and lab portions of the course to prepare students for future participation and leadership roles in outdoor activities. The course may include five to eight field trips and one over-night field trip.
