Catalog description

This lecture and lab course introduces students to the life-time sport of black powder muzzle loader shooting. Students will be introduced to the history and development of early American firearms and their application as a tool for personal defense, providing food and recreational sport on the American frontier. Students will learn the basics of safely loading and shooting both flint-lock and percussion cap rifles.
