Origins of War: How the World Stumbles into War

Catalog description

This course will focus on the events leading up to the beginning of World War One and how mistakes and miscalculations led Europe into a war that few wanted. The course will discuss how choices and decisions made by the major European powers lead to the Great War. The origins of other modern wars will also be examined and compared to the origins of World War One. Prerequisite: ENGL 17000 .
