GE-Human Culture: Religion/Human Diversity Islam is more than jihad. This course will broaden your perspective on the Islamic tradition through a detailed examination of the social history, theology, and philosophy of Islam. You will study topics like: contemporary attitudes in the West towards Islam, Islamic attitudes towards Western society, and the various movements within contemporary Islam. Prerequisite: ENGL 17000 or concurrent enrollment or three credit hours of PHRL courses.
