Critical Care Paramedicine II

Catalog description

This course is the second of two courses that together cover the didactic component of the Critical Care Paramedicine Curriculum. At the end of the two courses, students will have the didactic knowledge to sit for ISBC Critical Care Certification examinations. Critical Care Paramedic II covers the following 12 topics: Trauma, Burns, Neurologic Emergencies, Gastrointestinal Emergencies, Genitourinary Emergencies, Endocrine Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, Infectious and Communicable Diseases, Toxicological Emergencies, Obstetric and Gynecologic Emergencies, Neonatal and Pediatric Emergencies, and Special Considerations. Prerequisite: PARA 47101 with a C or better; current Paramedic License/Certification.
